Apple Crumble

by Technocook on October 31, 2008

Simple and great apple crumble. You can make other variations of this recipe by putting cherry pie filling (my favorite) or any other pie filling.  This can be served warm or cold.  I like it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it.  It tastes really great while watching a late movie on the couch.

1 cup flour
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup butter (at room temperature)
1 can apple pie filling
Cinnamon for top

Make a crumble mixture of the dry ingredients by cutting (Pastry Blender) in the butter to the flour, brown sugar and oatmeal.

Put half of mixture in a 9×9 pan.
Pour the apple pie filling as the next layer and then top with the remaining crumble mixture.

Sprinkle the top with with cinnamon.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.

Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Enjoy
