At Thanksgiving, there is always one or 2 dishes that you can’t go without. One is Mom’s stuffing and the other is Donna’s Sweet Potatoes.
Donna is a wonderful southern cook. I first tasted this about 10 years ago and fell in love with it. It is so good that I need to be careful how much of it I eat. I hope that you like it as much as I do.
2 – Sticks butter, melted
3/4 C – sugar
1 – tsp vanilla
2 – beaten eggs
1 – 29oz and 1 16oz can sweet potatoes
mix the above ingredients together in a bowl and put it into a baking dish
topping:
1/3 C – butter
1/2 C – sugar
1/3 C – flour
3/4 C – chopped pecans
Mix the topping together in a bowl and then sprinkle on top of the sweet potatoes
Put it in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes
