Southern Pecan Pie

This is from a real southern cook (Alabama back country).  Actually was much better than mine.  Great stuff.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup White Karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans

Beat eggs until light. Mix sugar and flour and add to eggs.

Add Karo syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt. Beat together.

Add pecans. Stir till well mixed. Pour in deep dish pie shell and bake 10 min at 375 degrees, then bake 30-40 min at 325 degrees.
