Great on a cold day. This is a zesty treat.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Italian Sausage
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2/3 cup chopped onion
- 5 cups water
- 2 medium zucchini, sliced
- 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 jar (14 ounces) pizza sauce
- 3/4 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 1 envelope au jus gravy mix
Putting it Together:
- In a Dutch oven, cook sausage and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and then drain.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until pasta is tender.
Serve with a little fresh grated parmesan cheese.
